The Golf Swing Uses More Muscles Than You Think…

It’s fair to say that most golfers have some idea of which muscles are used during their golf swing but in most cases they probably don’t understand how important the muscles in different parts of the body are in ensuring that they have a consistent, powerful golf swing.

On top of that it’s likely that most golfers don’t really realise that they should be exercising the muscles involved in their golf swing in order to keep them strong and flexible. In fact, if particular attention is not paid to keeping these muscles in good shape then it is highly unlikely that the golfer is going to be able to develop their best possible golf swing and in turn this can make it difficult for a golfer to fully enjoy the game.

A common problem that many golfers face when they don’t perform any kind of exercise designed to target the muscles used in the golf swing is pain in the lower back, usually as a result of long sessions of golf or time spent at the golf driving range practising the same movement over and over again. If you suffer from this type of pain do you think it is even possible for you to go out there and enjoy your golf, especially when you know that once you come of the course your are going to be suffering for your hobby?

The ironic thing is that this type of ailment can be easily solved just be doing some golf specific exercises designed to target the muscles that you use in the golf swing and in particular those in your back. By performing these exercises you will find that you will develop much higher endurance which will have a tremendously positive impact on your golf swing in the future. Not only that, but the exercise you can do to target your back can actually be performed at home or work without the need for expensive gym equipment or training aids.

It’s pretty obvious that the muscles used in the golf swing need to be exercised on a regular basis, with the right golf specific exercises to ensure that they are correctly developed. This will allow them to adjust to changes in your golf swing and perform far more efficiently in the long run allowing you to play better golf round after round.

So take the time to work on all of the muscles utilised by your golf swing and you won’t regret your decision, your golf will become far more enjoyable and you’ll no longer have to live through the pain and suffering of a round of golf again. Find the right golf specific exercise program and work at it as much as you can, your golf swing will thank you for it!
